Duble AI vs Gemini Omni: which to use to swap a character in a video

8 min read

Duble AI vs Gemini Omni is a comparison of two different jobs: Google's Gemini Omni creates video from text, images and video and edits a clip of up to 10 seconds by conversation, while Duble AI does one thing, putting your character into a video that already exists, with the original sound. Use Omni to invent or edit a scene with instructions, and Duble AI to join a trend or a video of your own without writing anything.

This page describes the field as of October 2026. Duble AI is our product. Everything here about Google comes from Google's own pages, linked where it appears, and nobody ran a side-by-side test. Veo, Google's earlier model, is in the comparison because people still search for it.

What does Gemini Omni do, according to Google?

It creates and edits video. Google's announcement describes Gemini Omni Flash as a model that takes images, audio, video and text as input and edits videos through conversation, so that each edit remembers the one before. TechCrunch dates the launch to 19 May 2026, at Google I/O.

The limits come from the developer documentation, last updated on 19 October 2026:

  • The gemini-omni-1.1-flash model takes text, image and video input, with video of up to 10 seconds for editing and extension.
  • Each generated video runs 3 to 10 seconds at 24 frames per second. Resolution goes from 360p to 4K.
  • A documentation page says the model generates the video with audio from your description, and that a clip can be extended in 10-second steps up to 40 seconds in total.
  • The same page says audio inside a reference video is ignored, voice editing is not supported, and only English is fully supported.

What does Duble AI do?

It takes a video that already exists and swaps its person for your character. The video comes from the trend library or is an MP4 or MOV of your own, 3 to 30 seconds long and up to 80 MB. The character, which the app calls a double, comes from a description, your photos or the cast. You write no instructions: you pick the video and the character.

The sound is the original video's, and the app creates no music or voice. Duble AI also invents no scene: with no source video there is nothing to generate. The finished video carries no watermark, and the app asks you to label it as made with AI where the platform requires. What is a double walks through it.

Can Gemini Omni swap the character in a video of mine?

Yes, in a short video and by instruction. The Gemini Omni page lists swapping characters among the edits you can make by conversation, alongside changing the lighting, stabilising the video and changing the background. According to Gemini Help, the app takes one video and up to five images as input. The documentation says uploading and editing images of certain recognizable people is not supported.

What the pages we read leave unanswered is what happens to the original sound of a video uploaded for editing. If that matters to you, check before relying on it. In Duble AI the swap is the whole function: the original video's sound stays and you describe nothing. That fits trends, where the movement and the music are what made the video travel. The wider comparison of text-to-video and character swap explains the difference between the two kinds of tool.

How much does each cost?

They charge in different ways, so the comparison is one of scale rather than price against price.

  • Duble AI. A 10-second trend video uses 30 credits. On the larger monthly plan, which costs $39.99 and gives 9 such videos a month, each comes to $4.44. The first purchase, with one video and photos of the character, costs $6.99. Credits never expire. See the full Duble AI price table.
  • Gemini Omni in the app. It needs a paid Google AI plan. On the Portuguese subscriptions page, checked on 20 October 2026, AI Plus costs R$ 24.99 a month in Brazil, AI Pro R$ 96.99 and AI Ultra from R$ 779.90. Each plan includes Flow credits (200, 1,000 and from 10,000) with access to Gemini Omni Flash, and the usage limit in the app is 2x, 4x and up to 20x the free plan's, reset every 5 hours up to a weekly maximum. How many credits one video costs is not on those pages.
  • Gemini Omni on the API. The pricing page, updated on 19 October 2026, charges $17.50 per million output video tokens, at 5,792 tokens per second of 720p video. That comes to about $0.10 a second, or about $1 for a 10-second clip. There is no free tier.

Can I use Gemini Omni in Brazil, and how do I pay?

Yes. Google lists Brazil among the countries of the Gemini API, and the Portuguese subscriptions page shows the plans in reais. The announcement says Omni reached the app and Flow for AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers worldwide. Gemini Help says video generation is not available to users under 18. How the plan is paid for is not stated on the pages we read.

Duble AI charges in reais in Brazil, by Pix or card for packs, and by card only for the monthly plan.

What happened to Veo?

Veo continues, but Google points to Omni as its successor. The Gemini Omni page says Omni will replace Veo in the Gemini app. The Gemini API documentation says the Veo 3.1 preview models shut down on 22 October 2026 and recommends moving to gemini-omni-1.1-flash or to the generally available Veo 3.1 models on Google's enterprise platform. A search for "Duble vs Veo" lands on the same comparison in practice.

What about the watermark and the AI label?

Gemini Omni videos carry SynthID, an imperceptible digital watermark, according to Google's announcement. The pages we read do not mention a visible watermark. SynthID helps verify where a video came from and does not replace the label a platform asks for: the rules are in AI labels on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Which one for which job?

I want Use
A scene that does not exist yet, described in words Gemini Omni
To edit a short clip by conversation: background, light, an object Gemini Omni
Dialogue or music generated with the picture Gemini Omni
A trend with my character and the original sound Duble AI
A video of mine of up to 30 seconds with another character in my place Duble AI
The same character across many videos, without rewriting the description Duble AI
To write no instructions Duble AI

The two can work together: a clip made in Omni is a video file and can serve as a source video in Duble AI, as long as Google's terms allow it and you have the right to use it. Other tools that do the same job as Duble AI are in AI character swap video tools, and the newest video models in AI video models in 2026.

Has Google announced anything new?

Nothing with a date on the pages we read. At launch, Google said Gemini Omni Pro had no release date, according to TechCrunch, and that longer videos were coming in the near term, with no date. The announcement also promises other kinds of audio input and image and audio output, with no date. About Duble AI there is nothing to promise beyond what the app does today.

Frequently asked questions

Is Duble AI better than Gemini Omni?
It depends on the job. Gemini Omni creates new scenes and edits a clip of up to 10 seconds from written instructions. Duble AI only puts your character into a video that already exists, with no text and with the original sound. For inventing a scene, use Omni. For joining a trend, use Duble AI.
Can Gemini Omni replace the character in my video?
Google's Gemini Omni page lists swapping characters among the edits you can make by conversation, and an uploaded video for editing can be up to 10 seconds. You describe the swap in text. Uploading a video to edit is not available in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the UK.
Do I need a Google subscription to use Duble AI?
No. Duble AI is a separate product with its own account, credits and prices. You sign in with Google or an email, buy credits as a one-time pack or a monthly plan, and pay by card, or by Pix in Brazil. Gemini Omni in the Gemini app needs a paid Google AI plan.
How much does a video cost on Duble AI and on Gemini Omni?
On Duble AI a 10-second trend video uses 30 credits, which comes to $4.44 on the larger monthly plan. On Gemini Omni, Google's API charges about $0.10 per second of 720p video as of October 2026, and the app needs a paid Google AI plan.
Can I use Gemini Omni in Brazil?
Yes. Google's Portuguese subscriptions page lists the AI Plus, AI Pro and AI Ultra plans in reais, and the Gemini API lists Brazil among its countries. Users under 18 cannot use video generation in the app.
Does Duble AI create music or voice like Gemini Omni?
No. Duble AI never generates sound: the finished video keeps the original video's sound, and the app creates no music or voice. Google's Gemini Omni documentation describes audio generated together with the picture from the text you write.
